Waste Connections, Inc. was founded in 1997 by a dedicated group of industry professionals with over 50 years of industry experience through the purchase of five operations in Washington and Idaho from Browning-Ferris Industries. The Company rapidly expanded into the California market with the addition of Madera Disposal Systems in early 1998 and now has operations throughout 17 states located primarily in the Western United States. Waste Connections' strategic objective is to build a leading solid waste services company in secondary markets primarily in the Western United States focusing on customer service excellence and the utilization of improved technology to enhance efficiency within the markets we serve.
