Unibanco-Uniao de Bancos Brasilieros S.A. (Unibanco) is a Brazilian financial institution that offers a wide range of financial products and services, including retail and wholesale banking, credit cards, insurance, pension plans, asset management, brokerage and investment banking. The Company's business is organized in four principal groups: Retail Banking, Wholesale Banking, Insurance and Asset Management. Unibanco's retail banking business serves individuals (excluding private banking customers) and companies with annual sales of up to R$25 million. The Company's wholesale banking business serves mid- and large-sized corporations as well as private banking clients. Unibanco is engaged in insurance and related activities mainly through its joint venture with AIG, which consists of several companies, with each company approximately 50% owned by AIG and 50% by Unibanco. The Company's subsidiary, Unibanco Asset Management, is dedicated exclusively to the management of third party funds.
