Banco Santander-Chile provides a full range of banking services to its corporate and individual customers. The Bank offers its corporate customers a range of commercial lending, trade financing and financial advisory, payment, cash management, treasury and risk management services and products, differentiated to appeal to large corporations and to medium-sized companies. The Bank's retail banking business includes consumer, residential mortgage, credit card and auto loans, and financial services for small-sized companies, each of which includes specific products developed for and distributed through Banefe and Banca Comercial. As of December 31, 2000, the Bank was the third largest private bank in Chile in terms of loans, had the largest customer base with over 1,000,000 customers, and had the largest private distribution network with 181 branches and 456 ATMs.
