Range Resources Corporation is engaged in development, acquisition and exploration of oil and gas properties, primarily in the Southwestern, Gulf Coast and Appalachian regions of the United States. The Company pursues development drilling and exploitation projects, acquisitions and, to a lesser extent, exploration of its extensive acreage position. All Appalachian assets are held through a 50% interest in a joint venture, Great Lakes Energy Partners L.L.C. Independent Producer Finance (IPF), a wholly owned subsidiary, provides financing to small oil and gas producers through the purchase of overriding royalty interests.
