Old Republic International Corporation is an insurance holding company with subsidiaries engaged in the general, mortgage guaranty, title and life insurance businesses. The insurance segments are organized as the Old Republic General, Mortgage Guaranty, Title and Life Groups. Through its General Insurance Group subsidiaries, the Company assumes risks and performs related risk management and marketing services pertaining to a large variety of property and liability commercial insurance coverages. The Company insures first mortgage loans, primarily on residential properties having one- to four-family dwelling units. The title insurance business consists primarily of the issuance of policies to real estate purchasers and investors based upon searches of the public records, which contain information concerning interests in real property. The Company markets and writes consumer credit life and disability insurance primarily through automobile dealers.
