Oakley, Inc. is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of consumer products that include eyewear, footwear, watches, apparel and accessories. The Company may, from time to time, manufacture private-label or other sunglasses for other companies. The Company may also market and sell sunglasses under brand names other than Oakley. In addition, the Company has licensed, and may determine to further license, its intellectual property rights to others in optical or other industries. The Company operates four Oakley retail stores under the O Store name, which offer the full range of Oakley products and feature marketing enhancements such as displays of proprietary technologies. One of the Company's principal customers is Sunglass Hut International, which accounted for approximately 12.0% of its 2001 net sales.
