National Fuel Gas Company is a diversified energy company with operations in six segments: Utility, Pipeline and Storage, Exploration and Production, International, Energy Marketing and Timber. The Utility segment sells natural gas or provides natural gas transportation services to 732,000 customers. The Pipeline and Storage segment provides interstate natural gas transportation and storage services for affiliated and nonaffiliated companies. The Exploration and Production segment is engaged in the exploration for, and the development and purchase of, natural gas and oil reserves. The International segment engages in foreign and domestic energy projects through investments in various businesses. The Energy Marketing segment is engaged in the marketing and brokerage of natural gas and the performance of energy management services for industrial, commercial, public authority and residential end-users. The Timber segment markets timber, owns four sawmill operations and processes timber.
