The principal activity of the bank is to accept deposits & originate loans. the bank obtains savings and checking deposits from the public and uses those funds to originate and purchase real estate loans and other loans. the bank also purchases mortgage-backed securities (mbs) and other investment securities from time to time as conditions warrant. the various kinds of deposits accepted by the bank includes demand, savings, money market demand and certificates accounts. the kinds of loans offered by the bank include mortgage, commercial and installment loans. the bank operates through eight full service offices located in jackson, cass, clay, buchanan, andrew and lafayette in missouri and johnson and wyandotte counties in kansas. interest and fees on loans accounted for 85% of fiscal 2001 revenues; Non-interest income, 12% and other interest income, |
