The group's principal activities are to design, develop, procure, implement, operate, test and maintain mission-critical, enterprise information technology, communication systems and intelligence processing infrastructures. the group provides information technology and technical services solutions, separately or in combination, through three principal areas of expertise: secure systems and infrastructure, information technology and systems engineering. these solutions are provided to the u.s. federal government intelligence, military and civilian agencies, other state and local governments and commercial customers. in 2001, the group discontinued its u.s.-based environmental consulting business, u.s.-based application hosting business, china-based consulting business, united kingdom-based banking it business and australia-based software solutions and it consulting business. on 05-aug-2002, the group acquired aegis research corporation.
