KeySpan Corporation is a holding company that conducts substantially all of its operations through principal gas distribution subsidiaries and its other regulated and unregulated subsidiaries, which include Eastern Enterprises, Boston Gas Company, Colonial Gas Company, Essex Gas Company and EnergyNorth Natural Gas, Inc. The Company's subsidiaries operate in four business segments: Gas Distribution, Electric Services, Energy Services and Energy Investments. The Company is a result of the business combination of KeySpan Energy Corporation, the parent of The Brooklyn Union Gas Company, and certain businesses of the Long Island Lighting Company.
