The group's principal activities are to design, manufacture and install scientific and technical furniture. the group operates in two segments: laboratory products and technical products. laboratory products segment manufactures and installs steel and wood laboratory furniture, worksurfaces and fume hoods. these products are sold to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, industrial, chemical and commercial research laboratories, educational institutions, health care institutions and governmental entities. technical products segment manufactures and sells technical furniture including network storage systems, workstations, workbenches, computer enclosures and related accessories. technical products are sold to manufacturing facilities and users of computer and networking furniture. laboratory products accounted for 93% of fiscal 2002 revenues and technical products, 7%.
