The Company operates through four divisions. Hanson Building Materials America is a supplier of heavy building materials to the United States construction industry. Hanson Building Materials Europe is a producer of crushed rock, sand and gravel, ready-mix concrete, precast concrete products and facing bricks, and has 700 operations in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic and Israel. Hanson's Australian Operations consists of over 250 concrete plants and over 40 quarries, producing close to 18 million tons a year of hard rock, sand and gravel. Hanson Pacific is the regional office responsible for managing the Company's operations in Asia. Hanson Pacific operates in six countries throughout the Asia-Pacific region, including China.
