E.ON AG is a German holding company of subsidiaries that are engaged in the following businesses: energy, chemicals, real estate, oil, telecommunications and distribution/logistics. Energy is the Company's core business. Through E.ON Energy, the Company's wholly owned subsidiary, this unit provides power to approximately 25 million residential, commercial and industrial customers in 16 European countries. The Company's operations are divided into divisions accordingly, and each business division is responsible for managing its own day-to-day business.
