The group's principal activity is to sell and distribute designer fragrances. the group operates through the wholly owned subsidiaries, perfumania inc. and perfumania.com, inc. perfumania inc. is a specialty retailer and wholesaler of fragrances and related products and perfumania.com, inc. is an internet retailer of fragrances and other specialty items. as of 02-feb-2002, the group operated a chain of 247 retail stores specializing in the sale of 175 brands of fragrances for women and men. the wholesale division distributes approximately 500 stock keeping units of fragrances and related products. the group's e-commerce site offers more popular products for sale and serves as an extension of the retail sales. the group also carries a private label line of bath and body treatment products, cosmetics, treatment and aromatherapy. retail-designer fragrances and related products accounted for 95% of 2001 revenues and wholesale designer fragrance pr
